Ave Maria University's President's Scholarship Weekend is an exclusive event where exceptional students can be considered for significant scholarships—including awards that cover full tuition, fees, and room and board. No matter what, every participant is guaranteed at least $26,000 in scholarships. See what's needed to be invited and attend!

STEP 1: APPLY & BE ACCEPTED
Start by completing your application to Ave Maria University by December 15.
- Submit all transcripts and test scores
- Connect with your admissions counselor
- Complete your admissions interview
- Be accepted to AMU
STEP 2: MEET SELECTION CRITERIA
To be invited students must:
- Be an incoming first-year student
- Hold a minimum 3.7 unweighted GPA
- Score at least 30 ACT, 1360 SAT, or 92 CLT
STEP 3: COMPETE FOR SCHOLARSHIPS
At President's Scholarship Weekend, finalists compete for Ave Maria University's top awards. All participants will receive at least $26,000 in scholarships.
- President's Scholarship – Full cost of attendance, totaling more than $192,000
- Provost Scholarship – Full tuition and fees, totaling more than $132,000
- Additional Merit Scholarships ranging from $12,000 to $30,000

8:30 – 9:30 a.m.
Check-In, Activities Fair, and Breakfast
Location: Bob Thomas Student Union Building (SUB), Ballroom
Enjoy a light breakfast while connecting with AMU ambassadors and staff, and discover opportunities in student life, campus ministry, and clubs.
9:30 a.m.
Welcome Address
Location: SUB Ballroom
10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
Campus Tours
Location: Depart from SUB and end at Academic Lawn
Go on a personalized tour of AMU's campus.
12:00 – 12:45 p.m.
Daily Mass
Location: Ave Maria Parish
1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Lunch and Welcome from President Mark Middendorf and Provost Dr. Roger Nutt
Location: SUB Ballroom
2:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Interviews with Faculty and Mock Classes
Location: Faculty Offices and William C. Demetree Lecture Hall
Students meet individually with faculty for their interview and attend mock classes with professors.
2:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Parent Sessions
Location: O'Bryan Performance Hall
Parents will hear from AMU staff and learn about financial aid, faith formation, and campus life.
4:30 – 5:00 p.m.
Meet Ambassadors
Location: Female Students - SUB Ballroom; Male Students - Thomas and Selby Prince Building Lobby
5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
Settle In
6:00 – 7:30 p.m.
Presidential Dinner
Location: SUB Ballroom
Parents depart after dinner.
7:30 – 10:00 p.m.
Evening Activities (Students)
Location: Student Park and Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel
Enjoy s'mores by the bonfire, play an energetic beach volleyball game, spend some time in adoration, and socialize with the other attendees.
