Study Abroad Programs
Students have the opportunity to learn about themselves, other cultures, and the universality of truth by spending a semester abroad at campuses in Gaming, Austria or San Marcos, Nicaragua.
Both study abroad programs are for one semester and offer intimate seminar-style learning environments with classes taught in English. The cost for the semester is similar to the tuition at the main campus. If you are planning on studying in Austria, there is an additional $1,750.00, along with the added expense of airfare and ground transportation. The only additional expenses for Nicaragua are airfare and ground transportation. Financial aid is available for qualified students.
Ave Maria University students who have studied for a semester abroad have thoroughly enjoyed the experience of having classmates from all over the world. During the week, participants study literature, history, philosophy and languages, and on weekends, the learning is limited only by the student's sense of adventure.
To be eligible for the program, students must have spent at least one semester at Ave Maria University, be in good academic standing, and have no major infractions on their student life record. For more information on the programs, or to apply to participate in this unique experience, please stop by the Office of Student Life.
