AMU Politics department scores high in 2007  

The Politics department ranked in the 90th percentile in Political Thought on the ETS major field test in 2007.(ETS is the company that devises the SAT and other standardized tests.) It ranked in the 70th percentile in International Relations. These results compare the Politics department at Ave Maria University, whose students scored within the range of normal, with other institutions whose students took this major field test in 2005-06. The department credits its success in these fields to the hard work of its seniors in preparing for their oral examination in the department's capstone course, Senior Seminar. International Relations was the most popular subfield in which students elected to be examined; Political Thought is a mandatory component of the department's oral examination for all seniors.
