In order to provide adequate services for our students, Ave Maria University offers a variety of health services. It is our hope that while studying at Ave Maria University, our students will have a balanced and healthy lifestyle.
Clinical Counseling
The Counseling Services Office at Ave Maria University is directed by Sharon O'Reilly, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Our Clinical Counselors utilize the best practices of mental health treatment along with Christian principles to support students in their intellectual, spiritual, and social formation.
Services offered by the Counseling Services Office include:
- Individual personal counseling
- Mental Health consultation
- Crisis intervention
- Psychiatric/Medical referrals
- Workshops and presentations
Appointments can be scheduled by calling 239-280-1654 or by completing the Counseling Services Request Form and emailing the form to counselingservices@avemaria.edu
Treatment services involve an initial assessment interview and the development of an individual plan to deal with identified problems.
