Student Profile

Meaghan King, 2009, completed a Master of Music degree at Westminster Choir College, with a double major in Sacred Music and Organ Performance, and is now a candidate for the Doctor of Music Arts degree in Organ Performance at the University of Southern California, studying with Dr. Cherry Rhodes.   She also holds the position of Assistant Organist at Pasadena Presbyterian Church.

Elizabeth Gotlund, 2010, holds a Graduate Fellowship and is a candidate for the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Organ Performance at the University of Iowa.  She is a student of Dr. Gregory Hand, and serves as a research assistant for the organ department.

Brother Edmund (formerly Nathaniel) Page, 2010, entered the Order of Premontre (Norbertines) at St. Michael’s Abbey in Orange County, California, following his graduation.

Carrie Nolan, 2011, serves as the Music Director at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Lehigh Acres, FL, and teaches studio voice and piano.

Teresa Asper, 2011, teaches full-time at Holy Family Academy (K-12) in Manassas, VA, where she directs the school’s four choral ensembles.  The liberal arts education she received at AMU provided has allowed her the flexibility of teaching coursework in other areas as well.

Erin Hamacher, 2012:  Upon graduation from AMU, Erin began teaching studio piano and voice at andFLEW! Studios School for the Arts in Rolla, MO.  She has since become the studio’s manager, while continuing her teaching position.

Michael Tondo, Dec. 2012, was accepted to University of Notre Dame’s graduate program in music, but decided to pursue another very specialized field – pipe organ construction.  He is pleased to be working with Patrick J. Murphy and Associates Pipe Organ Builders in Pennsylvania, which designs and builds new organs as well as making restorations of historic organs.

Anne Nyaga, 2013, studied Music and Classics at AMU, and now teaches both at Donahue Catholic Academy at Ave Maria, a private K-12 school.  Her responsibilities include Music in grades 5 – 12 and Latin in grades 7 – 10.

Paul Dittus, 2014, is finishing the last of his coursework for graduation in May 2014, but has already accepted a full-time position as Music Director at Our Lady of Light Catholic Community in Fort Myers, FL.
