Our Students

An Increasing number of people today desire a deeper and more fulfilling participation in the life of the Church, and thus seek an advanced, systematic understanding of their Catholic faith. While the program has been blessed with a number of religious, priests and deacons, the vast majority of our students are lay faithful. Most of our students have families and typically are employed on a full-time basis.

Many of our students seek to prepare for or advance in apostolates and services in areas such as family life, marriage preparation, evangelization, catechesis, RCIA, youth ministry, and Catholic education. Others seek personal faith enrichment in order to enhance the most fundamental form of service in the Church - a holy life which builds up the Kingdom of God through family, work, and culture. Whether seeking a degree for professional advancement or personal growth, IPT students will experience the pastoral priority of the universal call to holiness.

"I want a laity who know their religion and who enter into it, who know just where they stand, who know what  they hold, and what they do not, who know their creed so well that they can give an account of it, who know so much of history that they can defend it. I want an intelligent, well instructed laity."

- Blessed John Henry Cardinal Newman
