The Department of History at Ave Maria University invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of British Imperial History – effective fall 2013. Candidates should be prepared to teach survey courses in Western Civilization as well as upper-level classes in his or her area of specialization. An ability to teach topics relating to the Pacific Rim – including the United States – is particularly welcome. Phd in hand preferred, ABD will be considered.
The successful applicant will demonstrate prior teaching experience, a dedication to ongoing scholarship, and an understanding of the intellectual mission of Ave Maria University to educate in the Catholic liberal arts tradition.
