Campus Ministry

"Making Christ Well-Known"

Office of Campus Ministry facilitates spiritual life at Ave Maria University and brings together students, faculty, and staff for prayer, worship, service, and learning.  The Office of Campus Ministry promotes the building of a genuine Catholic community on Campus through a vibrant sacramental and prayer life.

This is accomplished in part by daily and Sunday Masses, by regular opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and by retreats and other spiritual programs.  Through its many services and programs, the Office of Campus Ministry strives to help students to integrate spiritual, academic, and personal growth, as students participate in our "Discernment of Vocation Program", adoration, and numerous activities with fellow Catholic university students, among others.

The Director of Campus Ministry and other associated personnel reach out to students of all faiths to offer pastoral support and promote the full personal development of every student.  Recognizing that the human community is interconnected, the Office of Campus Ministry offers members of the University community opportunities to impact society positively through prayer, reflection groups, and direct volunteer service.

"I am finding out who I am through my service to others," says AMU Theology major Megan Vilardi. She has spearheaded the Habitat and soup kitchen volunteer group, and served as head of Stella Maris, one of 7 faith households for women on campus.

The Campus Ministry Office also helps to develop future leaders for society and for the Church.  This is done through retreats, lectures, workshops, and opportunities for involvement in service to the University faith community and beyond.
