Xavier Hall & Conference Center is an undergraduate residence hall that has been designated for the overnight lodging of guests and visitors of university sponsored and hosted events; guests of the University's administrative departments (Admissions, University Relations, etc); and family members of AMU students. We are unable to offer our facilities to visitors who do not have a direct connection to University business.

We offer university guests quiet, retreat-like accommodations that makes visiting campus easy and enjoyable – especially since the accommodations themselves are right on campus! Our charges are also modest and affordable.

Rooms

The one-bedroom rooms are modest and comfortable. The furniture includes 2 extra length twin beds, wardrobes, study desk and chair. The rooms all offer a private attached bathroom for your convenience. We provide linens (sheets, pillows and blanket) and towels for our guests. We are not a hotel, and we cannot offer some of the same amenities that a hotel typically offers, like a TV in each room, or wake up calls but we do offer you common areas in which you may read, watch TV, socialize with other guests and relax.

Amenities

Our lobby is carpeted and outfitted with tables and sitting areas in which you can read or watch TV. Adjacent to the lobby is a mini-kitchen, with a refrigerator and microwave. There are several nearby restaurants in addition to the University's cafeteria for your meals.

We also have several public access computers and a printer in our "Business Center". Wireless Internet access is also available.

Most importantly, Xavier Hall is within an easy few minute walk to our perpetual adoration chapel. The Lord is exposed in the Blessed Sacrament 24 hours per day, 7 days per week in the Martha J. Burke Adoration Chapel located in the Canizaro Library. Mass is celebrated several times per day in the Oratory. The sacrament of confession is also available. Our neighbors at Ave Maria and the University students, faculty and staff also enjoy a rich devotional life with common prayer of the Rosary and other popular devotions that are also open to our guests. The current schedule is available by clicking here.

Prices

We have made this a family-style, retreat-like conference center to provide for your every need in this central campus location, but we have also tried to keep our prices low. As such, our regular, one-bedroom, one-bathroom rooms are priced at $50/night for single occupancy and $70/night ($35/person) for double occupancy. Double occupancy is preferred for groups and events.

We have a limited number of suites that we have available on a case-by-case basis, depending on the length of stay and number of people in each suite. These suites have a large common area upon entry to the room, and a hallway with either 2 bedrooms with 4 beds each (total 8 occupants) or 4 bedrooms with 2 beds each (total 8 occupants) and 2 bathrooms.

Although we do not allow higher than double occupancy in any bedroom (of a regular one-bedroom room or of the suite bedrooms), we do allow children to bring sleeping bags for the common areas of the suites, at the preference of the responsible adult and within reason.
